Reasons for Treatment

In addition to aesthetic and functional reasons, orthodontic treatment may be necessary before dental prosthetics are provided, for example, if neighboring teeth have drifted into the gap (pre-prosthetic orthodontics). An additional orthodontic treatment may also be recommended as part of periodontal therapy with your dentist (periodontal orthodontics).

Treatment Options for Adults:

Combined Orthodontic-Surgical treatment

In some cases, due to unfavorable jaw growth, a purely orthodontic correction may not be sufficient. In combined treatment, we perform the orthodontic preparation before an oral surgeon corrects the jaw position. We then complete the final dental correction.
